LIVE ‘N LOUD MEETS TRIVIUM
As we covered the Heavy MTL festival this summer, we met up with a few bands to know more about them and what was coming up for them.
Here is our interview with: Corey Beaulieu (guitar/vocals) & Nick Augusto (drums) from Trivium

LNL: Hello! How are you today?
Corey and Nick: Good, really good! We’re just hanging out!
LNL: Are you going to watch any show today?
Corey: Hmmm, we play and then we leave pretty early to cross the border. So we may catch a few band but we’re not staying.
LNL: Besides festivals, when you are not on tour do you go to any shows?
Corey: If there a cool band that comes in town we will go.
Nick: There’s a venue around where we live that we go to see shows.
LNL: What was the last band that you saw?
Corey: Accept
Nick: I saw Crowbar… yeah that’s the last band I saw!
LNL: Name the first thing that comes to your mind if I say:
“Photography”
Corey: Press shoot
Nick: Press sheet?
Corey: Press shoots! Photos shoot for magazine and stuff…
Nick: Yeah, I guess I’ll say the same!
“Heavy”
Corey: Metal
Nick: He answers all my questions! (Laughs)
So I’ll ask Nick first for the next word: “Live”?
Nick: Music!
Corey: same
“Loud”
Corey: Music ! (laughs)
“Montreal”
Nick: Canada
Corey: Hockey

LNL: If you had any advice to give for a new band, what would it be?
Corey: Play as much as possible, get in front of as many people as you can and spread you name.
Nick: Yeah, same answer for me. I guess it depends on what you want to achieve but there’s nothing more else you can add; just plain and simple, play with your band and put some hard work.
LNL: What can we expect from the band for the rest of the year?
Corey: We got a new record coming up in two weeks, In Waves, comes out August 9th so that pretty much keeping us busy. We got that, we finish up Mayhem and then we’ve got another tour in the fall in the US and Canada. It hasn’t been announced yet but hopefully soon and then we will be in Europe for the rest of the year so a lot of touring just promoting the new record!
LNL: Can we expect to see you back in Montreal before 2012?
Corey: I believe so! Next tour we hit Toronto, Quebec and Montreal, we’re playing up in this area so yes!
