These Kids Wear Crowns’ debut album JUMPSTART, is available everywhere now! The Chilliwack, BC–based band’s 11-song studio album – and first full-length release on EMI was produced by such A-list names as Matt Squire (3OH!3, Katy Perry) and Gggarth Richardson (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback, Hedley), and mixed by Mark Needham (Neon Trees, The Killers).
JUMPSTART includes new versions of These Kids Wear Crowns’ favourites’ “Skeletons,” “Break It Up,” “Oceans,” and “We All Fall Down” from the band’s original EP, plus brand new material including a cover of the Whitney Houston hit “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”.
JUMPSTART is the perfect title and lead single for These Kids Wear Crowns’ members Alex Johnson (lead singer), Joshua McDaniel (guitar/vocals), Joe Porter (guitar/vocals), Alan Poettcker (bass/vocals), Matt Vink (keyboards) and drummer Josh Mitchinson. The singles’ lyrics have a sense of zoom, an I’m-on-my-way determination that epitomizes the bands career trajectory.

First single ‘Jumpstart’ is a hit! It’s Top 20 at CHR Radio in Canada and gaining spins on stations across the country in every major market. The video, directed by Colin Minihan has also been added to heavy rotation at video outlets across the country.
These Kids Wear Crowns formed in late 2009 and entered 2010 with a bang; capturing a prized spot on MuchMusic’s hit TV show DISBAND – thus giving the electro dance-pop band major exposure.
After weeks of filming, valuable coaching from DISBAND’s music gurus and sold out tour dates, These Kids Wear Crowns’ signed a recording contract with EMI and hit the road opening for Hedley in addition to major TV performances on YTV’s The Next Star season finale, and CITY TV’s highest rated New Years Eve special (2010).
